about the owner

Hello.

Welcome to Company Reimagined!

My name is Tanya, founder of Company Reimagined.  I’m also the creator and CEO of Mouth Meets South, the first-ever, individual serving, soul food and Southern cuisine frozen meals coming to grocery stores.  I didn’t start off in the food & beverage industry.  It has been a journey.  As an entrepreneur, small business owner and corporate leader, I’ve been helped by many individuals and organizations during my professional life.  I’m grateful to them.  Throughout my career, I’ve also mentored a great number of rising professionals and entrepreneurs and continue to do so.  I created Company Reimagined to expand in the way I can give back, providing even more people with information, grants and other resources.

At Company Reimagined, you’re not alone. You’re with a like-minded community with similar experiences and that support is important for tough times and triumphs.

My experience as an entrepreneur and small business owner include serving as the principal for two successful businesses – The Madison Group and TMH Communications.  With an undergraduate degree in News Editorial Journalism from The Ohio State University, some scholarship funding and awards for academic excellence, I worked through college before landing a position as an Associated Press reporter.  I transitioned early from journalism to corporate relations, producing breakthrough results and global industry honors as a director and vice president, including for Fortune 500 companies, while earning a graduate degree in Management from Antioch University Midwest. I married a Hampton Roads, Virginia native, and now reside in coastal, southeastern Virginia.

Company Reimagined is here to make it convenient, easy and accessible to get the information and resources you need when you need them from someone who understands this thrilling ride called entrepreneurship!

Growing up in New Jersey outside NYC and working since 13, I was inspired by the many career women and people of all ethnic backgrounds around me, heading off each day to corporate workplaces or small businesses they dreamt about, imagined or reimagined into reality. My grandfather, a serial entrepreneur born to parents from Barbados, and my mother were my biggest influences.

Having your own business is exciting, yet unpredictable in early stages. You’re catapulted forward at moments and sometimes you’re stuck or fall backwards.  At Company Reimagined, you’re not alone. You’re with a like-minded community with similar experiences and that support is important for tough times and triumphs. Company Reimagined is here to make it convenient, easy and accessible to get the information and resources you need when you need them from someone who understands this thrilling ride called entrepreneurship!

Best,
